ABOUT DR. SAKSORNCHAI
Dr. Saksornchai is an associate professor of radiology at Chulalongkorn University. She attended medical school at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. She completed her radiation oncology training at Chulalongkorn University in 2011. She further pursued an honorary clinical fellowship in lung and breast cancer at the Royal Marsden Hospital, NHS Trust, Surrey, UK. She then completed additional clinical research training at the Department of Radiation Oncology, Breast Service, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA.
Dr. Saksornchai has great interest in the implementation of improved radiation delivery techniques. Her clinical areas of expertise include breast, thoracic, and sarcoma malignancies in conjunction with general palliative therapy for advanced malignancies. She also has an interest in hypofractionated treatments, including stereotactic radiotherapy and proton therapy for those disease sites. She presently serves as the chair of the radiation oncology patient care team (PCT) at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Saksornchai has been actively involved in multi-disciplinary collaborative research endeavors and has conducted or participated in various prospective and retrospective studies, research protocols, medical education, and teaching activities. Currently, she is a committee member of the Thai Association of Radiation Oncology (THASTRO) and the Thai Breast Society (TBS).
